Changing bags

Skiphop baby changing bag For going out and about, you need a changing bag to keep things in.
We bought this Skiphop bag from Mothercare

It was big enough to carry everything around and it has different compartments which is handy for toys, nappies and a changing mat.

A portable changing mat is another essential for your mobile changing bag.
This one came with the bag and I found it too small. If there are any 'accidents' during changing, you need a large mat to contain things!

Some bags come complete with accessories and changing mats which can be useful. Many have compartments or small pockets which you can store bottles, food, nappies and toys in.

They are either a shoulder carrying type, backpack style, or attach to the back of your pushchair. Our Skiphop bag was great as it could be carried or slung over the handles of the pushchair.

A changing bag is used to keep you baby's changing items when you go out.
It needs to contain the following:
  • Enough nappies plus a few for emergencies!
  • Nappy sacks
  • Wipes
  • Portable changing mat
  • Zinc and castor oil cream (prevents nappy rash)
  • Toys
  • Change of clothes
  • Sun hat (summer)
  • Spare carton of longlife baby milk for emergencies
